American Gun Co. 1909 12 gauge

Posted on April 4, 2021

This project is nearly complete. We just have a few minor mechanical issues to correct, and we’re waiting on a replicated original buttplate. We finished the buttstock with a dark walnut stain and polyurethane satin coating. We wanted to wax the finish to keep it true to 1909 practices, however we chose polyurethane because of the epoxy repairs on the tang. I’m very pleased at how it is turning out and I’m excited to see it completely finished!
