My college buddy had reached out about his old Browning Nomad Deluxe compound bow. He wanted to have the riser refinished and it was definitely needing a updated look. Bows are tricky because they’re typically coated with resin. After stripping the resin off with some chemicals, the finish sanding was a snap. We’re going with a linseed oil finish covered with several coats of polyurethane. The only question is should we go with high gloss finish or satin?
